This car features a 490/495 hp 6.2L OHV 16-valve V8, with a dual-clutch 8-speed automatic transmission (depending on the vehicle performace package). The vehicle does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. To put that extreme number into perspective, the Ferrari Laferrari does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, the Mclaren P1 does 0-60 in 2.6 seconds, and the Porsche 918 Spyder does 0-60 in 2.2. These vehicle are each the top must high performance, nicest, must advanced vehicles on the road. The catch is, each of these cars cost over $1.5 million or more.
The thing that makes the Corvette C8 Z51 so amazing is the performance to price ratio. The Corvette C8 Z51 has one of the highest most outstanding performance numbers out of any car made today, and this car starts at $60,000 for the base model. That is an amazing feat for any car. The average price for a car that has similar performance numbers is $250,000. Even at that price point, not all of these cars even come close to the performance or the price of the Corvette C8 Z51!
